Using CTRL-C for copy makes killing a process almost impossible

Hi,
Thanks for this tool, it is super cool and I like it a lot but I like also to copy using the shortcut CTRL-C but when I mapped that combination to the copy I can't kill a process running remotely on an SSH session.
Did I do something wrong or is there something missing like detecting the text selection?

Start by reproducing the Ctrl-C copy mapping during an SSH session with a remote process running, then trace the terminal's keyboard-shortcut and text-selection handling. Done means copying selected text still works while Ctrl-C can interrupt the remote process when no text selection is active.
