Linux app keeps huge log files by default: need an option for log files

That's quite terrible, I have to delete caches every now and then, the app is nice, but the log size is unacceptable. I don't see any obvious options to change this behavior either.

No files or tests are named. Start by locating the Linux app's default log-file configuration and checking how log cleanup currently works; confirm the intended option and default behavior with maintainers. Done means users can control log growth through an explicit option and the resulting logs no longer grow unbounded by default.
