This seems unnecessary given common practice for download instructions, and is inconsistent to the other supported platforms which don't suggest to buy an Android Phone, iPhone, Linux or Windows PC beforehand.

Research direction

Start at the macOS installation page at https://keybase.io/docs/the_app/install_macos and compare its opening instructions with the other platform download pages. Done means the unnecessary suggestion to buy an Apple computer is removed or revised so the macOS instructions begin consistently with the supported-platform guidance.
