Description
Hi,
Looiking into memory usage on my laptopn, I was surprised to see that after a fresh boot, and no interactions, the overal keybase services are using about 750M of *resident* memory.
That's when all that's displayed is the keybase notification icon. I haven't opened the dektop app yet or accessed kbfs yet

just opening the app, the memory usage rises to over 1GB, further interactions only seem to affect this

closing the app window doesn't change the resident memory footprint...
I love keybase and what you have been doing for encryption, thanks to keybase I finally got into gpg security keys and stuff, but I really wish the resident memory print would be lower ...

Research direction
Reproduce the reported state on Ubuntu after a fresh boot, first with only the notification icon and then after opening the desktop app. Compare resident memory with the reported roughly 750 MB and over 1 GB usage; done means identifying and resolving the excessive baseline footprint.
