Description

I can't seem to add members to my team: either by searching for them and adding them by username, or by accepting _their_ requests to join the team.

It just shows the error "you can't do that right now".

Research direction

No files, tests, or entry points are identified in the issue. Start by reproducing the failure when adding a member by username and accepting a join request, then trace the relevant team-membership flow. Done means both member-adding paths work without the reported error and have regression coverage.
