Description
When I want to send an encrypted (Saltpack) message to someone not using Keybase yet I can select several sources (Facebook, Twitter etc). E-Mail address is not an option but I can type an e-mail address into the search field, which is accepted then.
Unfortunately the address gets stripped the first and the last sign then and message verification instantly fails. It seems that the saltpack generation uses the original address which I entered and that the verification done in the form is using the crippled address.
Example: I enter someone@somewhere.de - the form shows omeone@somewhere.d then.

Research direction
No source file, test, or entry point is named. Start by reproducing the Saltpack message flow with an email address such as someone@somewhere.de and trace where the displayed address is changed. Done means the full address remains intact and message verification succeeds.
