Description
I created my Keybase account only recently, from a mobile device (). I linked Mastodon, Twitter, and GitHub right after. I then made a routine backup of the device (iPhone). The next day for unrelated reasons I had to wipe the device and restore from backup. It's the same device.
However, opening the Keybase app it seems to no longer be associated with my account. Looks like it stored the most important data not in a place where the OS is allowed to make an encrypted backup of it?
This is unfortunate. Retrying to restore access, Keybase is offering me three choices that don't work:
* Ping to device. Device hasn't changed, but it isn't recognised because it isn't logged-in. Unlike other apps on the device, which remained logged-in without issue after the backup and restore.
* Email me. My address hasn't changed. However, while it claims it has sent me reset e-mails, none have arrived. It never asked me for my address when I signed up. It presumably simply doesn't have my address.
* Enter password. I'd remember this if I had one. It never asked me for one when when I signed up.
These internal things aside, I have not lost anything publicly related to . I can still prove access to all of these (Mastodon, Twitter, GitHub, My website).
At this point I don't mind losing the account contents as it's brand new – but for my user name.

Research direction
No repository files, tests, or code entry points are named. Start by tracing the Keybase account recovery flows for an iPhone backup restore, device ping, email reset, and password setup; done would mean identifying a supported way to recover the username or clearly establishing the limitation.
