renaming subteams results in errors for some users

we've noticed that if we use the mobile or desktop client to rename a subteam that has users in it, we are getting errors when we try to re-enter the chat interface. i've noticed that the list of chats will sometimes still show the old subteam name, sometimes not. and sometimes re-visiting the team page and hitting the chat button will allow posting -- but doesn't clear the old name out of the "Chats" tab listing.

anyways, we have had several users who got "cut out" of posting to subteam chat this way, and it's now happened about three times.

help! we're having to communicate to users in our community that "renaming subteams is dangerous" for now.

Start by reproducing the failure after renaming a subteam with existing users, using both the mobile and desktop clients. Compare the Chats listing with the team page and posting behavior; done means users can re-enter subteam chat, post, and see the renamed subteam consistently.
