Images can't load in chat on Linux

Hi, it's been consistently happening on my Linux machine that the images won't load in chat (see attached).

I've found that sometimes they are viewable in the reply when I reply to them, and I can view them if they're in the team folder though.

Start by reproducing the image-loading failure in chat on Linux, using the attached screenshot and the reported cases where replies or team-folder images work. Compare those cases to identify the affected chat path; done means images load consistently in the affected scenario without breaking the working cases.
