Twitter doesn't recognize my telephone number

The theme explains itself. My Thailand telephone number is unrecognizable by Twitter. Why so? I do not know. Anybody has the same problem? I don't worry about that, but Keybase's profile features asks me to provide my Twitter account. Sorry, guys, can't do this.
