Description

Using Windows 10 Desktop App (latest installation from Keybase)

When typing a chat in desktop app, I use the sine wave (~) symbol before dollar amounts as an approximation. What I've notice is the text the follows directly after the (~) is strikethrough. See screenshot as an example.
I can duplicate the error and have tested a chat without the symbol and it fixes the issue but not the problem. I need to be able to use the (~) symbol in my chats. See screenshot of chat with and without symbol which shows the strikethrough of text.

Research direction

Reproduce this in the Windows 10 desktop app by typing a tilde before a dollar amount, then compare the rendered chat with and without the symbol. Done means text following the tilde is no longer rendered with strikethrough while the tilde remains usable.
