Description
The Windows desktop client apparently uses Electron or a similar Chrome-based technology.
Subpixel rendering is missing on all text, except for the menu bar. This (plus using low-contrast gray-on-white text) causes the client to appear fuzzy and washed-out.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the rendering issue in the Windows desktop client and inspect its Electron or Chrome-based text-rendering configuration. Compare ordinary client text with the menu bar, then verify that text uses subpixel/ClearType rendering and avoids the reported low-contrast appearance throughout the client.
