Description
I attempted to create a keybase sub-team using the desktop client on a macOS system (version 1.0.40-20180205183337+269845275) and was shown this error: "ERROR CODE 2711 - you are not a member of this team in method keybase 1 teams getTeamAndMemberShowcase
I was a bit confused so I started poking around the client to find out if the sub-team had been created or not when suddenly I saw the sub-team show up in my list of chats because another team owner had apparently found the sub-team I created before I did and added me to it.

Research direction
Reproduce subteam creation in the macOS desktop client using the reported version and observe the ERROR CODE 2711 response and delayed appearance. Trace the creation and team-list update flow; the issue is done when successful creation does not show a misleading error and the new subteam appears consistently.
