Keybase cli user input fails in xorg

When using the keybase cli from within xorg, keybase fails everytime it has to ask for a passphrase.

It attempts to spawn a window which fails then gives the error

ERROR Input Canceled
```

It works fine in the console. Can there be an option to not try to spawn windows for user input and take input from the terminal instead?
