Description

When verifying my Facebook page in the browser, I complete the process, get a banner telling saying "success", and receive an email saying my proof has just succeeded.

When I attempt to edit my picture, I get the "Almost there!" popup and a link prompting me to verify my Facebook page again. However, on my profile my facebook link is colored in blue complete with a blue "post" icon.

Hours later I get an email saying the proof never succeeded, contradicting the email I received earlier. There seems to be an issue here, please look into it.

Thanks,
Mike

Research direction

Start by reproducing the browser Facebook-page verification flow and compare the success banner, verification emails, profile link state, and edit-picture prompt. Trace the verification status through the browser flow and identify why these states disagree; done means the outcome and displayed status are consistent.
