Description

Hi, this is more of an abstract question.

What is the PGP key rotation story? Will rotate PGP keys always make my trackers lose their track, or can I sign the new one with the old? Or should I use PGP sub-keys (is that even a thing?) day-to-day?

Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or entry points and is framed as an abstract question. Start by determining the intended behavior for PGP key rotation, tracking continuity, signing replacement keys, and sub-keys; done would require a decided, documented answer to those questions.
