Twitter fails to validate

After replacing my original twitter handle with a new one,
When using twitter web interface or hotot (in chrome) from desktop PC, twitter account verification will not complete. Status remains pending, and clicking in the link returns "That identity proof for zerlgi is pending, revoked, or non-existent."

Edit: problem was "protected tweets"
