Description
The sidebar to the right of the encryption textarea on keybase.io/encrypt does not register various special characters, including for instance :, ;, æ, ø, å. Similarly, but this might be on purpose, line breaks are not included.

Research direction
Open keybase.io/encrypt and reproduce the sidebar behavior with the reported characters, including :, ;, æ, ø, and å, then compare it with ordinary characters.
