Description

It seems only scantily implied by the explanation below that Keybase doesn't support uploading profile images directly. This explanation (when you click profile and then the edit button next to your profile image) should explicitly say "Keybase uses profile pictures from your verified accounts." (and perhaps, if there are no pictures to choose from, add: "First add verification to your other accounts (such as Github or twitter), and then come here to select which profile picture to use on Keybase.")

"Pick your primary
This is you. If you prove other identities, you can pick a favorite image here. Also, you may refresh your photo if it changes. Note some services cache photos for a couple minutes, so if you just now changed your photo outside Keybase, we might not find the new one."

Research direction

Start at the profile edit screen described in the issue and locate the existing “Pick your primary” explanation. Update the copy to state that Keybase uses profile pictures from verified accounts, and consider adding the guidance for users with no selectable pictures. Done means the revised explanation is shown when editing a profile image.
