keybase should not send mail to an unconfirmed mail-address (or should it?)

When I recently changed my e-mail-address with keybase, I got a confirmation mail. At the same time I also changed DNS verification. The notice informing me, that the DNS verification got through ('your dns (domain.dom) proof just succeeded!'), was - however - actually send to the new e-mail before it was confirmed.
I'm not quite sure why this is happening, but I don't think that keybase, should mail anything to a new e-mail-address until it has been confirmed.

Confirm whether verification notices can be sent before the new address is confirmed, then add coverage showing the intended behavior and verify that unconfirmed addresses receive no such notice.
