Mac OS app is not updating information

Some information, like a new avatar picture, or a successful HN proof, are not updated in the Mac OS app. Only after quitting the app and starting it again, the new information show. It would be nice to have changes be reflected without restarting the app.

Reproduce the issue by changing an avatar or completing HN proof while the Mac app remains open, then compare its information before and after restarting. Trace how the app refreshes displayed information and verify that those changes appear without quitting and reopening it.
