Description

Title pretty much says it all. Passwords, even long ones can be brute forced, and once they're gone, they're gone. I'd appreciate even a basic 2fa using google auth (although of course open-source implentations are preferred).

Research direction

The issue names no files, tests, or code entry points; start by reviewing the existing authentication flow and the 39-comment discussion, including the Google Authenticator reference.
