Description

I was trying to add a client on a VM (Lubuntu 16.04 VM on Windows 10 Host) and was trying add the device by scanning the QR code from my phone, but was not being redirected anywhere once my phone was done scanning.

I then tried to login in the website and got an error that the system time was behind and I wasn't able to log in (since it was a VM I never set the time up properly). I then set the time correctly and was able to successfully add the VM as a device.

The same error that was shown when trying to log in on the website should be shown when trying to add the device.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the QR-code device-add flow on the Lubuntu VM, then compare it with the website login flow when the system clock is behind. The issue is done when the same system-time error is shown while adding the device, rather than leaving the user without feedback.
