Description
I'm using the OSX client.
My setup: i have 2 volumes on my MacBook Pro: i use them in dual boot. When a new OS version is released, i 'try' it on 1 volume, so i can fall back to the other volume until i've got the 'new' one working.
As i was just upgrading, i installed KeyBase on the 'old' volume ... and after some days i was working on the 'new' volume. When i installed KeyBase, i was invited to paste a code into KeyBase 'on the other device'. In my case that was just another volume. Don't know whether that is a scenario you've considered.
Anyway: at 2 moments i tried to copy a pass code, in both situations past-ing was impossible. I don't why you want to prevent pasting in an input-field at any moment. Anyway, the 2 moments specifically: when i tried to paste the 8 word 'add other device' code. And the other moment was when i for the first time installed KeyBase on the 'new' volume: i was asked for login credentials for an Install Helper? I tried the Keybase credentials i had: as i'm using a password manager, i have long complex passwords: i had to type that in as pasting was disabled.
I hope you can enable pasting in those cases.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the two OSX client flows described: pasting the eight-word “add other device” code and pasting credentials for the Install Helper prompt. Trace the corresponding input fields and verify that both accept pasted text without preventing normal typed input.
