Description

It's very annoying to be using a full screen application like a game when the Keybase update window grabs focus and minimizes everything.

I believe it's very bad UX to grab focus like that. I don't think updating Keybase is such a critical operation that it NEEDS to grab focus regardless of computer activity.

It's much more preferable to just pop up a notification and let the user update when ready.

This problem is exacerbated because you can't cancel the process. Only snooze it, which just delays the problem for a few minutes.

Research direction

The payload names no files, tests, or entry points. Start by locating the updater window and its focus and minimize behavior; done means fullscreen applications are not interrupted, users receive a notification, and the update can be deferred or canceled as described.
