Description
for some reasons, keybase does not allow users to login if their email-adress and/or password includes minuses or space, leading to several of my contacts locked out.
Of course, the recovery function doesn't work for those users - espechally if they had logged in once into a device...

Research direction
No files, tests, or entry points are named. Start by reproducing login with email addresses and passwords containing hyphens or spaces, then trace the authentication flow; done means affected users can log in and use recovery without those characters causing failure.
