Description
When using kbfs, I've noticed that the keybase osx desktop client doesn't show syncing status. It does briefly flash a upload icon on the keybase tray icon. But I was uploading a large number of files, so the feedback wasn't very clear or accurate.
As a user I wasn't sure whether it was uploading or whether something went wrong. It would be nice to mimic dropbox's behaviour, i.e.: tell the user that you're up- or downloading. Remaining time, etc.

Research direction
Start at the Keybase OS X desktop client's tray icon and the KBFS upload/download flow, since the issue names no files or tests. Determine how syncing progress is exposed and define the user-visible status, including whether remaining time is feasible; done means the tray icon clearly communicates active uploads and downloads.
