Description

Keybase GUI Version: 1.0.25-20170714173029+acae5b0

My organization pushed some Windows Updates on my machine (I am not sure which) and now when I run keybase pgp decrypt -i somefile.gpg -o otherfile.txt I get just the blinking cursor in the new line and no output, no errors. I do not get the prompt from the desktop app to input my passphrase.

This works fine on a Windows 10 machine I just tested on.

Not sure if this is helpful, I have no further details on this. If the information is insufficient, just close this.

Thanks.

Research direction

Begin by reproducing keybase pgp decrypt -i somefile.gpg -o otherfile.txt on Windows 8.1 after the relevant updates, comparing it with the reported Windows 10 behavior. No source file or test is named; done requires identifying the update-related cause and restoring decryption or documenting the missing reproduction details.
