Research direction

The report names Ubuntu 16.04 and the missing /run/user/1000/keybase/keybased.sock socket, but no source file or test. Start by reproducing device removal from the Ubuntu server and tracing the Keybase service startup; done means the device can be removed without the reported connection error.
