Description

Keybase app shows "stat /keybase operation not permitted" error message.

keybase ctl restart seems to be broken as well which is how I fixed past kbfs problems

$ keybase ctl stop
▶ INFO Stopping Keybase app
▶ INFO Trying to unmount: /keybase
▶ ERROR unmount /keybase: operation not permitted
$ sudo !!
sudo keybase ctl stop
Oops, you are trying to run as an admin user (Uid: 0). This isn't supported.

Updating/restarting everything and rebooting doesn't fix it.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the reported keybase ctl stop and restart behavior around the /keybase mount. Investigate the inconsistent KBFS-related state described in the issue; done means the app no longer reports stat /keybase operation not permitted and the control command works without requiring an unsupported root invocation.
