Description
I created a new shared folder in the private area by typing in the command line
"cd /keybase/private/<my_user_name>, <another_user_name>"
that seemed to go well.
then i typed
"ls"
and after about 10 seconds I got this back:
"ls: .: Input/output error"
I typed "ls" again and got that same error back but then the other user's profile popup came up (which is what I expected).

VERSION:
1.0.18-20161116190722+95f8303
on a Mac laptop with OS 10.12.1
I have uploaded a screenshot as well.

Research direction
Start by reproducing the command-line sequence from /keybase/private/<my_user_name>, <another_user_name> on macOS 10.12.1 using version 1.0.18-20161116190722+95f830, and review log id b1f778198ed4350c86925b1c and the attached screenshot. Done means creating the shared private folder no longer produces an Input/output error when running ls, while the expected profile popup still appears.
