Description

I work on a system where /opt is automounted, and therefore I do not have write access to it, even when installing with sudo. I can't find a way around this in the documentation.

Research direction

Review the installation documentation and the .deb installation path for systems where /opt is not writable, then determine whether a supported workaround exists. Done means documenting the workaround or clearly stating the limitation; the payload names no specific file or test.
