Description

I tried to register my device with the name kelemvor without success. The error code indicates that I already have a device with that name. However, by using keybase device list and web UI, I cannot find any device with name kelemvor.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the registration failure with the device name kelemvor, then compare the result with keybase device list and the web UI. Trace how the existing-device error is reported and verify that the hidden or conflicting device state is either exposed consistently or no longer blocks registration.
