Description

Keybase GUI Version: 1.0.16-20160711193623+2eed5f9
Gnome version: v3.14.0
kernel: Linux 3.10.0-327.22.2.el7.x86_64

The system tray icon is invisible as seen in the screenshot below, but the void is clickable and still brings up the keybase menu:

Research direction

Start by reproducing the invisible system-tray and menu icons on the reported GNOME and Linux versions, using the screenshots and environment details as the baseline. Trace the GUI icon-loading and rendering entry point; done means the tray icon and both public and private menu icons render visibly and remain clickable.
