Description

I'm trying to provision a new laptop on my account (well...technically an existing device, but it's been wiped and reinstalled). I have my GPG key in my gnupg keychain. When I installed, the key was expired, but I have since edited it using gpg commands and extended the expiry date. I have also given that key ultimate trust.

I tried to install Keybase, but when it got to the step for provisioning the device, it failed to export my secret key from GPG, with this error:

I tried rebooting to make sure everything that should be up and running would be, but it failed in exactly the same way. Any hints?

Research direction

Reproduce the device-provisioning flow on a freshly installed laptop with an existing GnuPG key whose expiry was extended, then collect the client or service logs around the “Unhandled incoming RPC” error. Done means the provisioning flow successfully exports the secret key, or the failure is narrowed to a documented GnuPG or RPC condition.
