Description
Keybase stopped working long ago in all my Android devices, Samsung with version 5, 6, and 7.
It does work on a Samsung version 9.
If these versions are not supported, the update was forced to the device anyway; no warning, it just stopped working.
Notifications work, trying to open the app sometimes seems to work, but as soon as it lands on chats or even settings, it crashes. The footer menu is most of the time not displayed (no icons)
I offer my help with debugging.

Research direction
The issue names no files, tests, or entry points. First reproduce the crash on Samsung devices running Android 5, 6, or 7 and compare behavior with Android 9, then identify whether those versions are supported. Done means the supported-version behavior is clear and the app no longer crashes when opening chats or settings, with the footer menu displayed.
