Description

I've had an issue multiple times now after restarting my computer (usually due to some OS updates). After the restart, I start keybase, and I find that I can no longer decrypt saltpacks that I could previously decrypt. Even if I go and encrypt a new secret to myself, I can't decrypt it. I've found a short term solution, which is, if I go and add a new paper key to my account, all of a sudden, everything works again. I don't even have to use the paper key, I just generate it, and then I can decrypt things again. It also continues to work after I deactivate the new key I just generated.

Research direction

Start by examining the supplied log ID 6c41624f6886108be9edf81c and reproducing the failure across a computer restart, including decryption of an existing and newly encrypted saltpack. Compare the failing state with the recovery produced by generating and then deactivating a paper key; done means saltpacks decrypt normally after reboot without that workaround.
