Description

A long time ago I uninstalled KeyBase. But recently I noticed that KeyBase is still in my system tray.

I checked, and the program is still in this folder:

C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Keybase>

I killed the executable with the command.

taskkill.exe /IM "keybase*" /F

And installed KeyBase again, and then uninstalled it. Nothing changed.

Can I safely remove the folder C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Keybase>?

Research direction

The report names the Windows 10 system tray and the leftover C:\Users\user\AppData\Local\Keybase folder, but no source file or test. Start by reproducing the uninstall and checking whether the folder and tray process remain; done means determining and documenting whether the folder can be safely removed or identifying the uninstall behavior that needs correction.
