Keybase GUI Version: 5.7.0-20210622193735+e3826b703a
Turns out my local gpg key had a longer expiration date, than the one on keybase. Same key. But in the keybase UI (both client and website) the keys looked the same. Hard to debug...
Remedy: prominently show gpg expiration dates, and perhaps deal with expired keys separately.
