Description

Hello, I created a bot using pykeybasebot that runs a countdown or timer by editing a message every 1 second. I ran it in a team channel and after sometime, the previous messages in the channel disappeared. I tried to retrieve the messages using keybase chat api. It showed me that when the timer was running, the previous messages were deleted by the users who sent them which was definitely not the case. I ran the timer in three channels and the same thing happened only in those channels for all the users in that channels. Can I know what happened and retrieve the previous messages??

I already tried restarting my pc, adding new device and checking if I can retreive.

Research direction

No client files, tests, or entry points are mentioned. Start by reproducing the one-second message-editing timer in a team channel and inspect the resulting history through the Keybase chat API; done means determining why earlier messages are reported as deleted and whether they can be retrieved.
