Keybase Chrome extension not recognizing keybase app installation, also showing display issues

Description

It appears as though there are some new issues appearing with the Keybase chrome extension that I haven't seen before. I tried to use the extension today for the first time in a month or two, and there appear to be two issues:

• Keybase Chrome extension is not recognizing the fact that i have the keybase app installed. It keeps prompting me to "Install keybase", but it's already installed. i even tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, but no luck
• There also appears to be some layout issues (at least when using within GitHub) that make the dialog content impossible to read.

Please let me know if there's anything i can do to help resolve this issue. I'm a product manager with beginner/intermediate technical skills, so while i probably can't write the code to fix this issue, i can definitely help test any potential solutions that are shipped. Happy to help however i can!

Steps to Reproduce

Simply click on the "Chat with Keybase" button that shows up on GitHub as shown below. Below is an animated gif, scroll down to see the animation of the issue i've described.

Start by reproducing the issue in Google Chrome Beta with the Keybase app installed, then click the “Chat with Keybase” button on GitHub. Done means the extension recognizes the installed app and the dialog content is readable without layout problems.
