Description

Heya,
Having encrypted git repos is quite awesome for folks working on security issues and collaborating together. In fact we used this for Boot Hole exploit (https://blogs.oracle.com/linux/cve-2020-10713-grub2-boothole) .. but one thing that was difficult to do was doing patch review.

That is most open-source projects use mailing list to send patches around (git-send-email) and folks review them in their favorite mail program (for example mutt). Works fine with GPG encrypted email and all that.

As such I was wondering if it would be possible for keybase.io to offer a encrypted mailing list <-> Keybase git-repo? Or creating automatically mailing lists based on Keybase channels that are encrypted with user-provided GPG (or generated by Keybase) to easy in development?

Thank you!

Research direction

The issue proposes encrypted mailing-list integration between Keybase channels and git repositories, but names no files, tests, or implementation entry points. Start by clarifying the supported workflow, encryption model, and integration boundary; the issue does not yet define what completion would look like.
