Description

Keybase GUI Version: 5.5.0-20200526131901+139bb348af

I am using Keybase on my Windows 10 machine. For some months now I regularly (1-2 times per week) encounter these memory leaks where the process 'kbfsdokan.exe' is rapidly allocating memory. It's between 0,1 and 30 MB per second! The CPU usage is also about 10 to 17% all the time.

When i started writing the bug report:

Research direction

Start by investigating the reported behavior of kbfsdokan.exe on Windows 10 using Keybase GUI version 5.5.0-20200526131901+139bb348af. Reproduce the rapid memory allocation and sustained CPU usage described in the report, then trace the relevant process behavior. Done means the recurring memory growth and elevated CPU usage are identified and no longer occur.
