Description
For the dinosaurs among us:
Would it be possible to support only a few of the very common old-school smileys and translate them to the corresponding emoji when typing? Say...
:-)and:)-> 😄:-(and:(-> 😟
No need to go any further, but these are just so very common, I see them in chats as text all the time.

Research direction
Start by locating the chat composer and any existing emoji-conversion behavior; the issue names no files, tests, or entry points. The requested scope is limited to converting the four listed smiley forms while typing, and done means each form produces its corresponding emoji.
