Description

The window that gets spawned on clicking on the dock icon stays in the top-right corner of the screen (while the taskbar lies at the bottom); moving the mouse out of the dock icon hides it, rendering it unusable.

OS: Linux ContorsionistMidget 4.2.0-1-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.2.6-1 (2015-11-10) x86_64 GNU/Linux

WM: IceWM 1.3.8+githubmod+20150914+fa3fdef, Copyright 1997-2003 Marko Macek, 2001 Mathias Hasselmann

edit:
X Server: X.Org X Server 1.18.1 Release Date: 2016-02-08

Research direction

Reproduce the dock-icon contextual-menu behavior in GNU/Linux with IceWM, using the reported taskbar position and X.Org details as context. Confirm that the spawned window no longer appears in the top-right corner and remains usable when the pointer leaves the dock icon.
