Description
Recently, the Keybase menu bar icon disappears when I click it and the Keybase menu is shown.
Steps to reproduce:
- Click Keybase menu bar icon.
- Observe the Keybase icon disappearing.
Expected behaviour:
As a user I expect the background to be my selection color and the icon to be shown in white. OR The icon to change color when selected.
Screen recordings:

Another recording showing the click-and-hold and rapid clicking behaviour:

Research direction
Start by reproducing the issue on macOS High Sierra with Keybase GUI 5.2.0, following the two listed click behaviors and comparing the screen recordings. Trace the menu bar icon handling from the macOS desktop client entry point; done means the icon remains visible or changes to a clear selected-state color when the menu is shown.
