Description

When you are wanting to send a photo with the Keybase chat Android app clicking 'Take Photo' will let you take a photo to send. After the photo is taken it ends up stored on the phone in the gallery. Other similar secure messaging apps like Wire and Signal have ways to bypass storing the image on the phone and only send the photo. I know I was very surprised to see my photo saved on the phone and then automatically backed up to google photos by my phone.

Research direction

Start by tracing the Android chat app's “Take Photo” flow mentioned in the issue and identify where the captured image is stored before sending. Done means the photo can be sent without appearing in the phone's gallery or being automatically backed up, while the existing send flow still works.
