Description

I've noticed that if I hover over a user's name in my Keybase app, more often than not, their username changes from green to blue. Additionally, even though I follow them already, I can follow them again.

Research direction

Start by reproducing the username color change and duplicate follow option in the Keybase app and website, using log id 8ef94e56601a17951d1d0e1c and the linked screenshots and recording. No files or tests are named; done means the displayed username state and follow action are consistent across both clients.
