Notifications unable to be enabled after initially disabling

Upon setting up the Mac client, I disabled the notifications for chat messages. There is no way to reenable them. Have removed devices and reinstalled completely and unable to turn them back on for any device.

Reproduce the problem in the Mac client by disabling chat-message notifications during setup, then checking whether they can be enabled again after removing devices or reinstalling.
