Description

While opening chat information - that small i button at top right corner - there is possible to browse Media, Docs, Links and on top of these also Members, Attachments, Settings. While scrolling down currently header goes up and is not visible if there is a lot of media, docs, links under Attachments or lots of Members in team. Would propose that while scrolling down, the header (from top to line where are Media, Docs, Links choices) remains automatically visible. Purpose: when scrolled down at media there could be fast option to switch to other choice without scrolling up first.

Second handling improvement idea is related with search in information menu. We can see Members, Attachments, Settings; also Media, Docs, Links but we cannot search from them! E.g. while information tab is opened, by pressing CTRL+F or clicking small search button will open a search bar - could be also floating over existing header to save space. Currently CTRL+F starts search from chat itself even the information tab is still opened.

Third and last is time browsing - when clicking on date while browsing Attachments (Media, Docs, Links) - would propose to open the small calendar (could be floating to save space) and show the month and allow to browse previous, next month and year to browse the time to quickly jump to past and find certain time. Sometimes people do not remember any part of information to search but just a date (or close to it) when it was posted.

Such floating bar behaviour is also here in GitHub when to scroll down long text - the header will be automatically fixed and remains visible all the time.

Research direction

The issue concerns the chat information panel and its Media, Docs, Links, Members, Attachments, and Settings views. Begin by locating that panel and its existing scrolling, search, and date-browsing entry points; there are no files or tests named in the report. Done means the navigation header stays available, search works within the information views, and date browsing can jump across months and years.
